Beat the Drum

Beat the Drum is a biblical values-based HIV/AIDS abstinence campaign. The program revolves around showing the Hollywood-produced film called “Beat the Drum,” followed by a curriculum presented by trained volunteers.

The program also includes reaching out into the community to meet felt needs. Individuals from the community are encouraged to go for voluntary HIV counseling and testing and a biblical values-based lifestyle is promoted as the answer to prevent HIV/AIDS.

The objectives of the project include:

  1. Abstinence education
  2. HIV/AIDS prevention
  3. Promoting biblical values based living

It is a week-long project conducted primarily in schools and targeted at vulnerable youth in our communities. During this program, volunteers and leaders from all over the world join together for one week of training in the Beat the Drum curriculum, followed by one week of implementation in local schools and communities.
